  Dogs In Need

If for some reason the surgery for a particular dog doesn't occur within 60 days, the funds donated for that surgery will go back into our general fund to help the next dog in need.  Thank you for helping us help all these dogs in need!

3-26-13  Update!
They told me I was going to have a dog with 3 legs, one ear, and a big scar around her neck that wouldn't grow hair.  So far, she's kept her ear and her leg and the scar around her neck is growing  hair! Thank you all so much! Phillip

UPDATE  2-13-13
Maxi is a sweet girl who the vet feels was attacked by wild dogs, wild hogs, or coyotes.  Her injuries are serious but the vet's prognosis is good.  Maxi will need 2 separate surgeries.  The first reconstructive surgery has been completed and she remains on oral antibiotics, anti inflammatory drugs, & hydrotherapy.

Maxi goes back to the vet every other day to debride the wound, have meds & antibiotic injections. Once the neck has healed she will need to have surgery on her ear which was so damaged it has nearly fallen off. She was a stray that was taken in and is very much loved by her owner.  He is a wonderful
man who has done everything he can to help take care of his sweet girl, but he desperately needs help with the ongoing vet care and upcoming surgery. When he found her as a stray she was pregnant and had heartworms.  He had her spayed and treated the heartworm.  Now this.......  His yard is fenced in and he doesn't know what happened but he almost fainted when he saw her.

Thank you for anything you can do, good wishes and prayers are also appreciated.
